
In South Africa, the 10.1-inch Xoom tablet has been made available via Cell C, Vodacom and MTN. The Wi-Fi only model has been priced at R4, 500, while the 3G model at R6, 599.
The Motorola Xoom runs on the Google's Android 3.0 OS, and comes equipped with a 1GHZ dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel front-facing and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.
Separately, Motorola on Wednesday confirmed that the UK Xoom tablets will be upgraded to Android 3.2 Honeycomb before the end of September.
The Motorola Atrix smartphone is available via Vodacom, 8ta, Cell C and MTN, with a recommended retail price of R5799. The smartphone can also be had on contract.
The Atrix features Android 2.2 OS, a dual-core processor, a front-facing camera plus a rear-facing camera along with 16GBs of storage. The smartphone can be plugged into a lapdock or multimedia dock, and transform it into a laptop and media player respectively.
